Milprazon Chewables Tablets for Cats

Milprazon for cats is a multi worming treatment for 6 weeks and older kittens and cats that weigh more than 1.1lbs (0.5kg). This oral formula comprises milbemycin oxime and praziquantel as active components that work in tandem and protect against a variety of worms including intestinal worms and heartworms.

Simple and easy-to-give, Milprazon tablets treat both immature and adult species of tapeworms, including Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., and Echinococcus multilocularis; along with a couple of species of roundworms, i.e., Ancylostoma tubaeforme and Toxocara cati. Milprazon can be useful in the prevention of heartworms if accompanying tapeworm treatment is advocated. This worming treatment is safe to use in pregnant and lactating cats.

How it works?

Milprazon is composed of two active ingredients: Milbemycin oxime and praziquantel. Milbemycin oxime interrupts the neurotransmission in roundworms and kills them, whereas, praziquantel causes muscle tremors in tapeworms and destroys them.

Instructions To Use Milprazon Worming Chewable

• Weigh your cat for the correct administration of dosage.
• The recommended dosage is 2 mg of milbemycin oxime and 5 mg of praziquantel for each 2.2lbs weight as a single dose orally.
• Milprazon should be administered with food or after a meal for best treatment results.
• It is used in the prevention of heartworm if tapeworm treatment is recommended alongside.
• Preferably, a single drug treatment should be used for regular heartworm protection.

Dosage Table:

• For use in cats only
• Do not use in cats less than 6 weeks of age
• Keep away from the reach of children and pets
• Store halved tablets below 25°C
• Keep tablets in the original blister pack.

Warning:

• Avoid using in case of drug sensitivity (milbemycin oxime and/or praziquantel)
• Do not administer in cats weighing less than 1.1 lbs
