Equimec Plus Tape for Horses

Equimec Plus Tape is a multi-worm formula for horses of all ages including mares and stallions. This oral treatment treats and controls various internal parasites including tapeworms and adult and immature roundworms.

This low-dose composition helps control multiple species of Small Strongyles (benzimidazole-resistant bloodworms) and Large Strongyles (adult and arterial larval stages). It also controls Bots, Hairworm, Pinworm, Lungworms, Intestinal threadworms and Neck threadworms. This easy-to-give equine treatment controls skin lesions induced by Habronema, summer sores and Neck threadworm. It comes in a handy trigger applicator that dispenses a sufficient quantity of treatment with every dose. Regular treatment with Equimec Plus Tape diminishes the chances of verminous arteritis and colic caused by S. vulgaris.

How it works?

Equimec Plus is formulated with ivermectin and praziquantel. The composition interferes with the neurotransmission and muscle functions of worms, causing paralysis and death of the parasites. The formula treats and controls roundworms, tapeworms, bots and summer sores. It aids in controlling Benzimidazole-resistant worms along with Pinworms, Hairworms, Bots, threadworms, Lungworms, etc.

Instructions To Use Equimec Plus Horse Wormer Paste

• Ensure the horse's mouth does not contain feed before administration.
• Administer Equimec Plus Paste orally.
• Turn the dosage control knob to coincide with the horse’s body weight.
• Insert the syringe into the side of the horse’s mouth in the gap between the front and back teeth and press the plunger to the selected dosage.
• Deposit the treatment on the rear of the tongue.
• After dosing, raise the horse's head for a few seconds ensuring the complete dose is swallowed.

Dosing:

• Give Equimec Plus at the recommended dose level of 1 ml/40kg of bodyweight.
• A single dose of 1 ml/40kg bodyweight dispenses 0.2 ml/kg of Ivermectin and 2.5mg/kg of Praziquantel.
• The contents of one syringe treats one horse of 1320 lbs (600kg) weight.
• Each weight marking at the syringe plunger delivers 2.5g of paste which is enough to treat 220 lbs(100kg) weight.

• Do not give to horses less than 28 days before slaughter for human consumption.
• Do not treat any other animals intended for human consumption.
• Mares may be treated at any stage of pregnancy.
• Stallions may be treated without adversely affecting their fertility.
• Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.
• Keep away from the reach of children and pets.
• Poisonous if swallowed. Contact a doctor in case of poisoning.
• Dispose of the empty syringe by wrapping in paper and putting in the garbage.
