Advantage Multi (Advocate) for Cats: Monthly Topical Parasite Protection

Advantage Multi is a comprehensive topical solution that protects cats against multiple types of parasites, including heartworms, roundworms, hookworms, fleas, and ear mites. This monthly treatment is easy to use and is a convenient option for pets that struggle with oral treatments. Advantage Multi for Cats kills fleas through contact, so fleas do not have to bite your cat to get killed. This topical solution is suitable for cats and kittens aged at least 9 weeks and weighing at least 2 pounds.

Advantage Multi Coverage

With a mess-free application, Advantage Multi makes heartworm prevention for cats easy. This monthly topical treatment:

  • Prevents heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis
  • Kills adult fleas and treats flea infestations
  • Treats and controls ear mites
  • Treats and controls hookworms and roundworms

How does Advantage Multi Work?

Advantage Multi for cats contains two active ingredients: Imidacloprid and moxidectin. When applied on the cat’s skin, imidacloprid spreads over the skin and coat, and kills fleas through contact, so that fleas do not have to bite the cat to die. Moxidectin is quickly absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream and prevents heartworm disease, treats and controls internal parasites, and treats ear mites in cats.
