Bravecto Topical for Cats - How it works?
Bravecto Topical for Cats contains fluralaner, an isoxazoline-substituted benzamide derivative that acts as an inhibitor of the arthropod nervous system. By antagonizing ligand-gated chloride channels, specifically the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)-receptor and glutamate-receptor, fluralaner disrupts the nervous system of fleas and ticks. This result in the rapid killing of fleas, with 100% mortality observed just 8 hours after treatment. Within 12 hours post-treatment or post-infestation, Bravecto Spot On reduces the number of live fleas by over 98%, providing effective and long-lasting protection for up to 12 weeks against fleas and ticks, including Ixodes scapularis, Haemaphysalis longicornis, and Dermacentor variabilis.
